About the IAJGS Echo

The IAJGS Echo is the official blog of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS). The blog is a collaborative effort between the member organizations of the IAJGS from across the world.

There are three categories of posts on this blog:

Updates - Updates from the IAJGS on topics of interest to members of all IAJGS member organizations, such as information on the annual IAJGS conferences, and elections of the IAJGS leadership. Updates are only as needed, and thus are infrequent.

Articles - Articles of interest to Jewish genealogists, contributed by IAJGS member organizations. There should be at least one article posted per week.

Announcements - Announcements of upcoming events by IAJGS member organizations. There are over 70 member organizations across the world, many of which have events every month, so this should be the most common posting category of the blog.

If you would like to subscribe to receive posts from this blog in your e-mail box, you can do so by entering your e-mail address under the title 'Email All Posts' on the right sidebar and pressing the Subscribe button under your e-mail address.

If you would like to receive e-mails of posts only from individual categories, such as just receiving Articles, you can subscribe to receive those by entering your e-mail address under the correct title, such as 'Email Articles' for articles, 'Email Updates' for updates, etc. and then pressing the Subscribe button under your e-mail address.

If you are interested in submitting an article for publication on this blog, you should speak with your local Jewish genealogical society (see the list on the left side of the page) and ask to contribute through them. Each member society can contribute articles to this blog.
